What To Do During Quarantine

We all just learned that we’re not going back to school for the rest of the year; and I’m aware that we are all probably sick of staying home, so I just wanted to give some suggestions for stuff to do during the last months of the school year.

Go for Walks

This is one of my favorite things to do during the quarantine, even though it is so simple. Because we’re not allowed to go anywhere, it ends up feeling really good when you can finally get outside. It also lets you get some exercise in, which is good.

Spend Some Time With Your Family

I have already heard some people say that they are sick of seeing their family for this long—which, yeah, can get annoying—but I like to just accept it and find some things to do with them. I’ve been playing some Call of Duty (COD) with my dad and brother, going for walks with my mom, and we’ve all been doing our regularly scheduled family movie night, which is nice.

Binging TV Shows

You’ve got nothing else to do, and you’re not going anywhere; so nobody will call you lazy for just sitting around and just watching TV. I, personally, have been taking advantage of this fact, and I’ve been watching a lot of TV. I’m trying to finish off one of my favorite shows right now, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, as well as watching stuff like Marvel’s Agent Carter. So, yeah, just try to find some good shows and sit back. It’ll probably make you forget about the quarantine in the first place.

Get Some Driving Practice Done

This is more for the younger readers, who don’t have a lot of practice driving. I went driving on Easter; and combined with quarantine, it made it so that there was barely anyone on the road.  I could go on main roads without having to worry. I seriously recommend this.

Even if you think that the SAU isn’t handling the quarantine the right way, you could try all of these activities to make it better. I know that a lot of people aren’t handling this very well at all, so try some of these ideas to keep your spirits up! Things will get better! Also, feel free to send some of the stuff that you’ve been doing to the Talon’s Instagram account! Only a few more weeks of remote learning, everyone!
