Boys Hockey Against Hanover

Wednesday the Boys hockey team fell into another one-goal loss to the Hanover Marauders. Hanover started the scoring with a goal two minutes and 51 seconds into the contest. Jensen Dodge, of Hannover, scored on a rebound off of the pads of the Exeter netminder, Alex Warr, who tallied 32 saves. Ben Baldasaro countered the Hanover attack by a backhanded goal six minutes and ten seconds into the first period. The Hawks continued to compete well, but yet again Hanover struck first with a goal at two minutes and 49 seconds into the second period. Exeter’s freshman playmaker, Cy Leclerc, netted another goal three minutes later on a pass from Rob Andreasse.

The tie only held for another 54 seconds as Hanover’s Jake Acker returned with a goal that would end up being the game winning goal. The Hawks saw one last opportunity as they went on a power play with two minutes and nine seconds left in the third period, but they would not end up scoring. The Hawks face Bedford Saturday at the Rinks at Exeter.
