October 22 College Football Picks

After a nice week off, I will be writing my picks for this weeks college football games with the help of ESPN stats. Last week we had several great games, with the Ohio State and Wisconsin game going into OT for an Ohio win.

  1. #1 Alabama plays #6 Texas A&M this week. After a very strong game against #9 Tennessee, Alabama looks good. However Texas A&M is still very strong and has upset Alabama in the past before. My pick #6 Texas A&M 39, #1 Alabama 24.
  2. #2 Ohio State plays Penn State this week. Ohio State still looks like a championship team after their win over #8 Wisconsin. My pick #2 Ohio State 58, Penn State 34.
  3. #3 Michigan will play Illinois. Michigan is very strong this year so Illinois will not be much of a challenge whatsoever. My pick #3 Michigan 63, Illinois 10.
  4. #4 Clemson has a bye-week.
  5. #5 Washington plays Oregon State. Oregon State is never competition for top 10 teams. Washington still is strong especially after beating teams like Stanford. My pick #5 Washington 58, Oregon State 10.
  6. Refer to #1.
  7. #7 Louisville plays NC State. NC State has given every ACC team a run for their money this year, Clemson included, so I would not count them out. However, Heisman race leading Lamar Jackson of Louisville will most likely have his way. My pick #7 Louisville 36, NC State 28.
  8. #8 Nebraska plays Purdue. Purdue is not very strong, whereas Nebraska is. My pick #8 Nebraska 46, Purdue 9.
  9. #9 Baylor has a bye-week.
  10. #10 Wisconsin plays Iowa. After a loss against Ohio State, Wisconsin is looking to redeem themselves and Iowa is in their crosshairs. My pick #10 Wisconsin 46, Iowa 24.
  11. For this weeks special picks, I will be covering #17 Arkansas vs #21 Auburn. Both of these teams have showed effort but have not been putting up enough points to prove themselves worthy of the top 10. These teams are on the cusp of being unranked, so whoever loses will most likely not be ranked come next week. My pick #21 Auburn 28, #17 Arkansas 14.
